Follow cobbled streets and narrow passages on the trail of London’s best kept secrets. Encounter Templars, Freemasons, judges, actors, activists, and a cat wearing an Elizabethan ruff. Track down some of the finest historic pubs in London where fascinating tales of power & intrigue are shared in cosy corners over pints of local craft beer.

 Over 3 hours you’ll take a leisurely stroll between Holborn, the City, and Covent Garden hearing tales from your guide that will leave your head spinning. We’ll start with a beer tasting session (included) so even if you are new to British craft beer you’re sure to find something that tickles your fancy. You won’t view London in the same way again!

Secret London Pub Tour

What time does the tour start?

The Secret London Pub Tour runs on Thursday afternoons at 2:30pm, and occasionally on other days. Please click the ‘book now’ button for current availability. If you would like to arrange a tour at a different time, just contact us.

Where does the tour start & end?

The meeting point location is directly outside Temple Underground Station. The tour ends in Covent Garden close to Charing Cross Underground Station. There are many pubs, restaurants and theatres in the area.

How long does the tour last?

Approximately 3 hours.

What is the drinking age in the UK?

You need to be 18 years + to drink alcohol in the UK. If you are lucky enough to look under 25, please consider bringing ID so you don’t get refused at the bar.

Can I order food on the tour?

There is chance to order small bar snacks at several pubs we visit. However, there isn’t time on the tour to stop for a full meal.  Please have lunch before you arrive!

Is the tour suitable for children?

The Secret London Pub Tour is for adults only (over 18’s).  Most of the pubs we visit do not allow minors to enter. Sorry kids!

How much beer is included?

We start the experience with a 3 x 1/3 pint tasting tray of seasonal ‘real ales’. Your guide will talk you through the various styles available. Beyond this, additional drinks are at own expense, so you can indulge as much or as little as you desire.

Do I have to drink beer?

If you are not a beer fan you do not have to partake in the tastings.  Most pubs offer a range of ciders, gin and other delights for you to enjoy. 

What if it rains?

This experience operates rain or shine. Please consider bringing an umbrella or coat if the weather looks unpredictable.

Secret London Pub Tour starts from outside Temple Underground Station. Look for the person with the Tally Ho! bag or umbrella.
